Swiss Precision, Canadian Built
STOBAG was founded in 1964 near Zurich and has sold through trained specialist partners since 1971, a model built on the idea that a precision product deserves a precision installer. Today the company designs everything in Switzerland, manufactures its North American line in Burlington, Ontario, and distributes in 18 countries.

STOBAG has built shading systems for over sixty years, and every product is still designed in Switzerland. The BAVONA HARD-TOP line collected the iF Design Award, German Design Award, and Red Dot Award in 2024, a rare triple for an outdoor structure.
STOBAG North America builds its shade systems in Burlington, Ontario, so the products that reach your patio are made for this climate and supported on this continent, with a coating plant added in 2021.
STOBAG publishes real numbers and real limits. The BAVONA's own technical text calls the roof particularly water repellent rather than promising perfection, and its drainage is sized by rule: one concealed outlet for every 12 square metres of roof. We respect a manufacturer that specs like that, and we quote the same way.
BAVONA drives, lighting, and compatible screens all run on Somfy RTS control, so the roof, the LED, and the sides of your outdoor room answer to one remote, one app, and the same weather sensors.
Water runs off the BAVONA's louvers into a circular gutter built into the frame, then drains through hoses hidden inside the posts. STOBAG sizes it by formula: one outlet up to 12 square metres of roof, two up to 24, three beyond that. Nothing to see, nothing to clog, nothing dripping at the edges.

STOBAG's flagship louvered roof: a cubic aluminum pavilion with a frame of 230 by 115 millimetre profiles on 115 millimetre posts. Open the louvers for sky, tilt them for shade and airflow, close them when the rain arrives.

STOBAG's published policy: "STOBAG AG provides a 2-year warranty on all products (plus 3 years on motors and controls)." It covers manufacturing, material, and design defects with free repair or replacement.
Here's the part most buyers miss: STOBAG offers a free extension to five years of total coverage on finished products, but only if you, the owner, register on STOBAG's website within 90 days of the product shipping to your installer. The window starts before your install date, so as your Specialist Partner we flag the registration on day one and make sure you never lose the extra years.
