Authorized KE Outdoor Design Dealer
Italian-designed Gennius pergola systems rated to the highest wind class in the European standard. Kedry Plus, Kedry Prime, and the award-winning Kedry Skylife, installed across Vancouver by Five Eight Twelve.
Gennius Pergolas
KE Outdoor Design builds its Gennius pergola systems near Venice, Italy, and has manufactured for North America since 1984. What sets KE apart in this category is the paperwork behind the beauty: CE certification to EN 13561, structural components certified under EN 1090, and a wind rating at the very top of the European scale.
Five Eight Twelve is an authorized KE dealer for the Vancouver area. We design, engineer, supply, and install the louvered Kedry line, with glass walls, screens, and automation to match.
KE Outdoor Design is an Italian manufacturer based near Venice, with design recognition including two iF Design Awards. Its structures are CE certified to EN 13561, the European standard for external blinds and awnings, with structural components certified under EN 1090.
The Kedry louvered line is rated wind resistance class 6 under EN 13561, the highest class the standard defines. For context, a typical fabric awning must retract around class 3. On an exposed Vancouver patio, that margin is the difference between using the roof and babying it.
The award-winning Kedry Skylife does something almost no other system can: its louvers rotate for sun and rain control, and they also retract and stack, opening the roof plane almost fully to the sky. Two roofs in one structure.
KE has operated on this continent for over forty years, with headquarters and more than 100,000 square feet of manufacturing in Chester, New York. Products are sold and installed through an authorized dealer network, which is exactly what we are for Vancouver.

KE publishes its wind classes; snow capacity is engineered project by project. The louvers open to shed snow on demand, sensors can react to snow automatically, and we verify every structure against the BC Building Code snow values for your specific site before anything is ordered.
Three louvered systems sharing the same certified backbone, from the clean entry point to the roof that disappears entirely.

The gateway into the Kedry family: a clean, level-installed louvered roof with the same class 6 wind rating as its bigger siblings.

The Kedry most Vancouver projects land on: bigger spans, standard lighting, and unlimited coupling for large patios and commercial spaces.

KE's showpiece. When the louvers stack back, you're dining under open sky; when weather rolls in, the roof closes and the glass and screens turn the space into a room.
Dimensions are per module from KE's official product pages; modules couple for larger footprints. The compact Kedry Neos is also available where a smaller structure fits the site. Every project is verified against BC Building Code values for your location.
Beyond the Kedry line, KE's Gennius family includes retractable-roof pergolas where a weatherproof fabric roof slides open instead of louvers rotating: the Gennius A100, Isola 2 and Isola 3, Keplan, Xtesa, T1, and the T4 cantilevered roof. They suit patios that want a softer roof and a lower entry price, and we supply and install those too.
Explore retractable-roof pergolas >KE's warranty applies to the original owner and requires service through an authorized KE dealer, which is exactly the role we play. Fabric terms vary by fabric brand, from 5 years up to 15 years, and we'll show you the exact schedule for the fabrics you choose.
A Kedry roof is the starting point. Add Line Glass sliding walls for wind-proof sight lines, Vertika Prime screens for privacy and insects, integrated LED for evenings, and infrared heating for the winter months, all controlled together.
Most buyers weigh two or three systems before deciding. Here's what to look at next.
